“Giredmet” established active scientific and technical cooperation with foreign and Russian research centers, universities and companies by agreements and contracts of different levels; implemented different international programs (EU Framework Programs , COOMET (EURO-ASIAN COOPERATION OF NATIONAL METROLOGICAL INSTITUTIONS)) and grants (INTAS, NATO, ISTC).

“Giredmet” keeps partner relations with Asian countries. Major overseas projects include: creation of chemical-metallurgical plant for production of titanium slag and titanium sponge in the Indian state of Orissa and construction of polycrystalline silicon plant in the city of Leshan, China.

In order to develop joint projects and delegation exchange, at present Giredmet is building partner relations with Vietnam, Japan and South Korea.

Institute has strong collaboration with “Rosatom” enterprises.The work on joint projects is held at the moment with “TVEL” Corporation, "Luch" NPO, "CMW" JSC, "Polymetal" JSC , and also with Federal State Unitary Enterprise Karpov Institute of Physical Chemistry and VNIINM A.A. Bochvar, All Russia Research Institute of Inorganic Materials.

Testing Analytical Certification Center (TACC) created at “Giredmet” is one of the largest metallurgical complex analytical centers in the country. It is widely recognized in Russia and abroad, has extensive international contacts and traditional ties with factory laboratories, research institutes and numerous businesses and organizations.
